NET NEUTRALITY EXPLAINED : Save the Internet !!!

With Net neutrality wave catching up the entire country lately, there are still many users who  seem to be unfazed by the turbulence created by this campaign. Most of them are either ignorant or do not relate to this campaign. Many of them let it pass because they cannot see any probable harm to their daily usage or customer rights.
Not going into technicalities, just for the layman’s sake, I’ll quote a very simple example which I found over the internet. Let’s suppose the Internet service providers(Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel etc)  were restaurant giants and you were a customer with your internet pack being the coupon for meals. Now, with net neutrality, if you buy a coupon for a full meal for INR 150, you will get a full meal without any demarcation between the dishes and their quality. without net neutrality  after getting a coupon for Full meals at Rs 150,you should pay for Rice – Rs 30, Sambhar – Rs 20, Kara Kozhambu – Rs 20, curry – Rs 10, papad – Rs 5, Curd – Rs 10, Pickle – Rs 5.Then a salt less means Extra Rs 2, extra papad Rs 2 extra. And after all this Service Charge and Taxes!! I hope this has made it seemingly simple.
Technically, this would mean that the giants who  have hoards of money would just barge into your mobile or computer screens after cracking expensive deals with the Internet service providers and the rest would have to stay back due to lack of money. You, as customer, would have no choice but visiting those “free” websites or paying extra to visit your favorite websites or apps.
All you have to do is to register non- compliance with this proposal and send your reply to TRAI. Here’s the link to a website which makes it simpler for you- http://www.savetheinternet.in/
Understand it with these two pictures.
